We pour floors
the way we'd want ours.
Blue-Chip is a small, veteran-owned crew based in Richmond, Kentucky. Same crew every day, one floor at a time, no subcontractors. Built around the idea that a written spec and a clean grind matter more than a logo on a truck.
Six years in naval aviation taught me one thing: Prep is everything.
I spent six years in the Navy as a Naval Aircrewman, operating in helicopters and managing high-stakes technical environments. In aviation, you learn quickly that if the pre-flight inspection is rushed, something fails when you're in the air. There is zero room for shortcuts.
When I returned home to Richmond, I brought that exact, disciplined mindset to the concrete industry. I founded Blue-Chip Concrete Coatings because I saw too many companies rushing through the prep work just to turn a quick profit.
We treat a standard two-car residential garage with the same strict specifications, precise diamond-grinding, and written accountability you'd expect on a flight deck.
Four rules.
Non-negotiable.
The shorthand the crew runs on. These are in writing because they stay in writing — inside every quote we hand out.
Promised windows, kept windows.
If we say 7am Tuesday, we're backing the truck in at 6:58. No ghost crews, no rescheduling games.
Written before the tools come out.
You get a flat quote with a materials list and a build thickness. Nothing on the invoice that wasn't in the quote.
No acid, no shortcuts.
Every floor gets a diamond grind to CSP-2 or CSP-3 before anything else touches it. Prep is the job.
Written, transferable warranties.
15 years residential, 5 years commercial. Printed, signed, and yours — transfers with the home.
From hovering above to perfecting the hangar floor.
Short path. Quiet path. Every milestone is a floor we learned something new from.
